Kibuku Archdeaconry
St. Andrew Kibuku parish is the headquarters of Kibuku Archdeaconry.
Kibuku Church started in Nawawondo village, Kibuku subcounty. Later the Yosia Kokulu donated 45 acres of land to the Church. He was the first lay reader under Mivule trees for some time later the Christians built grass thatched church.
In 1946 the church opened a sub grade school, then the late Katende Andrew donated 15
acres of land across the road. The Katenda’s donated land is where the Christians have constructed the church which is the Archdeaconry headquarters.
In 1954 Kibuku church became a parish. The parish priest was Rev. E.N Kanene. On 1/9/2016
Kibuku church became the Archdeaconry headquarters. The first Archdeacon was Ven. Rev. Canon .J. Mugoya. The current Archdeacon of Kibuku is Ven. Rev. G.W Wandera
