About us
1972 was a great year for us. It marked the birth of a big religious empire sparring between the great Lakes of Victoria and Kyoga and bringing together six main ethnic groups for the common cause of proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was unity of purpose. Hence the Golden Jubilee theme – “Growing in unity and self sustainability”. cf.(Gal.3:28). While celebrating our “achievements, we are called upon to let go off our failings, and little differences, avoid the temptation to compare, contrast, compete and complete. As we look to the future, we all join Bishop Samuel Bukedi in this prayer of thanksgiving. “Ebenezer”: to this hour, the Lord has been our help” cf (1Sam.7:12).
